No (Blue Flowers) Installation of glass fragments, Art Forum Yanaka Gallery, Tokyo (1996)

In this work Tono Mirai used innumerable sharp glass fragments to create a non constructed space, filled with light reflections bouncing off the glass. Sitting on a glass chair placed in the centre of the gallery, the visitor was exposed to the flow of arial energy, known as ÒKiÓ in Japan. Though it felt dangerous at first, the experience induced feelings of calm and repose.
